Current Projects and Research

The ESCLM is comprised of more than 40 nonprofit employment service delivery agencies, employers, labour, trainers, educators and representatives from all three levels of government, who have decades of experience and a reputation for excellence in employment services and supports to meet the needs of all our community members.  Many of these services are designed for individuals with barriers such as persons with disabilities, immigrants, aboriginals, youth, and rural citizens, and particularly those who are disadvantaged and often ineligible for or do not have the resources to access other services.

The Vision of the Employment Sector Council of London Middlesex (ESCLM) is “a dynamic service delivery system that provides opportunity for all people to meet the changing labour needs of our community.”  As the voice of the employment and training sector in London-Middlesex, the ESCLM provides a forum to identify needs and trends, share information, plan for services and resources, and promote community growth and development in collaboration with other labour market partners. The partner agencies under the umbrella of ESCLM support and facilitate planning with respect to labour market trends and adjustments, and promote quality and client-centred service delivery, thereby building our capacity as a community to address future skills requirements and prevent skills shortages. The ESCLM members have strived to develop a continuum of services available, regardless of any individual’s particular funding attachment (or not), to meet their clients’ specific needs.
