G.A Wheable Centre for Adult Education

The G.A. Wheable Collegiate and Vocational Institute opened on September 25, 1957. In 1985, Wheable became the site of the first Adult Learning Centre in London.  In 1987, the school became the first adults-only day school in London when the G.A. Wheable Centre for Adult Education opened.

Our programs and courses are designed to help adults develop the knowledge and skills necessary to make a significant contribution to our society.  Every year, we educate some 20,000 students at our five main sites.  Some of our course offerings include secondary school credits during day school and night school, English as a Second Language (ESL), literacy & basic skills programs, and the Personal Support Worker program.
