Additional Client Services Available
The London Area Management Project is providing additional support to local job seekers through Employment Ontario service providers and Action Centres. Employment Ontario service providers and Actions Centres will have access to additional personal counselling, financial counselling and on-line tools to address a spike in demand for service. This project runs until June 2010.

Display spots still available
On Tuesday, October 6, 2009 we are hosting a free information and education fair, Life Losses: Finding Your Way. We now have 10 spots left for displays. Please send in your registration as soon as possible. We are expecting well over 400 people to attend and have broadly promoted this event to the employment sectors in Middlesex, Elgin, and Oxford. I know you aren't looking for more business..... But you may be very helpful for people just trying to find their way!.

Creative Communities Prosperity Fund
The Ontario Ministry of Culture is introducing a new Creative Communities Prosperity Fund that will invest $9 million over four years to help municipalities develop culture as a key part of their economic development strategies. It will also help not-for-profit organizations establish innovative cultural partnerships and promote new economic opportunities.

New Fanshawe Training
Fanshawe College has launched a new Occupation Specific Language Training program for internationally trained professionals. This practical and innovative course will: • Help individuals identify with Canadian workplace culture • Assist in clearly and effectively interacting with individuals specific to an internationally trained professional's occupation such as supervisors, colleagues, clients and officials • Allow international professionals to develop strong interviewing, networking and career-building communication skills.Courses starting in September, 2009 include:
Business, with a focus on Entrepreneurship and Small Business Enterprise Health, with a focus on dental hygiene Courses starting in January, 2010 include: Business, with a focus on accounting Technology, with a focus on engineering
