Support YOU Made It Café
YOU has entered an idea in the Aviva Community Fund. You can make this idea a reality. The Aviva Community Fund is a Canada-wide competition to support local and national charitable initiatives which support positive community change. There is a lot of competition. As a winning entry, YOU would receive funds to purchase furnishings and equipment for the YOU Made It Café. This is most important!

WIL Employment Connections and Mentorship for Newcomer Success invite you to attend a special breakfast series presentation on Friday, December 11, 2009, 7:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m (Skill Centre Conference Room)
This presentation focuses on how cultural differences impact interactions in the workplace and how misunderstandings can cause many employers to dismiss culturally different candidates for reasons that have nothing to do with their ability to perform the job. Practical suggestions will be offered to minimize these misunderstandings, improve communications, adopt more culturally inclusive hiring practices, and deliver meaningful performance feedback.
