Still spots for ESCLM training
We are offering "Understanding CAP and Community Employment Resources," designed specifically for ERC staff and support staff, on November 3 (9am-4pm) for a half price rate of $62.50 per participant.
This course will provide your staff wtih the knowledge and reassurance to provide the most accurate information and referrals to your clients, while enhancing your staff's client rapport- and relationship-building skills. Apply here...

ESCLM Table at Clarke Rd. Event
The ESCLM will be hosting a table for the Clarke Road Cares Community Resource Event being held on Saturday, November 7, 2009. This display will provide information about your programs to raise awareness of the services you provide in the community to individuals and families that are impacted by job loss.
If you are unable to staff your own table and would like to contribute information or a couple of hours to the ESCLM display, please contact carol@esclm.ca

"How to..." Workshops at LEHC
Attached is the new schedule for the London Employment Help Centre's "How To..." Workshops.
Every Wednesday morning we offer a two-hour introductory workshop on one of two topics: 1) Resumes and Cover Letters, and 2) Job Interviewing. Each topic is offered every two weeks on a rotating basis.
All interested participants are welcome, and no pre-registration is required. For further details on the workshops, dates and times, please check the attached schedule and poster. Or call us at 519-439-0501.

Funding for Youth Volunteers
The application process for United Way's London Life Youth in Action program is now open. Youth have two chances to apply: by November 16, 2009 or March 16, 2010.
Youth in Action projects range from homework and reading clubs, workshops and conferences, clothing drives, day camps and support groups.
