ESCLM Weekly Update: Vol.4, January 26, 2010

Dear ESCLM Members;

Last week, employment service agencies across the province were informed as to their status regarding the invitation to be service providers in the transformed Employment Ontario system.

Provincially, 173 service agencies have been invited to participate; 82 are extended pending provincial strategies (includes agreements for employment resource centres and agencies primarily serving persons with disabilities); and 57 are not preceeding beyond July 31, 2010 as a contracted partner.

In London, Daya Counselling Centre and Job Search Strategies have not been invited to proceed. That said, please do not alter any referrals to any agencies until there is clear communications instructing you not to do so. At this time, it is "business as usual."

As a community we value these services and their contribution to client success and their place in the continuum of services. Please see recent ESCLM and Daya Media Releases for more information.

Please pass this message on to your staff, and we are in the process of determining the most accurate information for staff to share with clients, employers and community partners. We will get this to you as soon as possible.

EOPG.ca Facelift

The Employment Ontario Partners Gateway site has been updated with a similar look to the TCU website and to other provincial sites. Service providers who have bookmarked the old site may encounter an error message. Please advise your stakeholders to type www.eopg.ca in their browser window to bookmark the new site.

EOPG's new navigation now aligns with business clusters and TCU projects (e.g., find all EO training services and programs on one page or Employment Services Implementation information in one section). The content on the site remains the same. Comments or suggestions? Contact Judith.Klie@ontario.ca  or Hollis.Bent@ontario.ca
