Student-to-Business 2011

The London Economic Development Corporation is hosting the 4th Annual "Student-to-Business Networking" conference on January 27, 2011.

A business' greatest asset is its people and one of London's greatest assets is the abundance of skilled,
talented students graduating annually from UWO, Fanshawe and private colleges. This conference brings hundreds of these students to one place for you to meet and network with.

I invite you to participate in two ways:
1) Attend the event.
Businesses are invited to attend from 4:15 - 8:00 pm, for a nominal cost of $25.00. There is a Pre-Conference Business Mixer to allow you to network with other leading London businesses at 4:15 pm, followed by the Keynote Speaker, Paul Copcutt, speaking on "Personal Brand Strategies" at 5:00 pm and the Networking Session with the students at 6:15 pm. Food and drink is provided.

2) Sponsor the event.
Attached is an invitation from Peter White, President & CEO of the LEDC, to support this key event. Our city and your business need to retain the best and the brightest of our students and this event relies on the leadership of the city's key businesses to host the conference.

Please consider sponsoring this event at whatever level you are able. You will benefit by meeting the future leaders of business and gain an advantage by being able to share information about your company with them, as they are deciding what functional or industry direction to take. London will benefit by showing these students the heart the city's businesses have and the appetite that exists to retain the best talent locally.

Please review the attached and consider both attending and sponsoring. I or Holly Doty of Connectdot, who is retained as the event planner, will follow up with you in the near future.

Best Regards,

Phil Hunt phunt@ledc.com
Director, Workforce Development, LEDC
