Training in Group Facilitation

Are you or your staff currently or interested in facilitating group sessions? Do you work in group settings to assist with job search, career exploration, or employment preparation? Do you want to learn and practice group facilitation and workshop leadership skills?

The ESCLM is offering training in a broad dimension of skills required for facilitating groups/workshops. This course will cover such topics as workshop planning (initial, transition, working and termination) and difficult group behaviours and explore strategies to overcome these problem situations. Participants will acquire practical facilitating skills required of group leaders, which can be applied in a diversity of situations.

We still have spaces available for this year's April 8 & 9 Group Employment Planning course.  If you or your staff currently or would like to provide employment or training services to clients in a group setting, register now...

I have created two workbooks containing annual averages for both the London Census Metropolitan Area and Economic Region 560 that you may find useful for your purposes. Each worksheet covers the period from 1999 to 2009. The two workbooks, in Adobe Acrobat format, contain the following:

* Labour Force Survey, Annual Averages, 1999-2009
* Employment by Industry, Annual Averages, 1999-2009
* Employment by Occupation, Annual Averages, 1999-2009

Economic Region 560
* Labour Force Survey, Annual Averages, 1999-2009
* Employment by Industry, Annual Averages, 1999-2009
* Employment by Occupation, Annual Averages, 1999-2009

Additional information about the 2009 Labour Force Historical Review can be found online at http://www.statcan.gc.ca/bsolc/olc-cel/olc-cel?lang=eng&catno=71F0004X.
