ESCLM supports a dynamic service delivery system that provides opportunities for all people to meet the changing labour market needs in our community.

The partner agencies, under the umbrella of ESCLM, work to integrate and improve client service through initiatives such as shared training for employment planning, service delivery standards, information sharing agreements, and common technology platforms have enabled solid working relationships. This translates into less duplication of information, maximization of resources, and a client-centred community infrastructure.

WHAT WE DO

• Facilitate the exchange of employment sector information to identify local labour needs, challenges and trends

• Develop, coordinate and plan employment sector services and resources to address both current and future labour market needs

• Promote community growth and development

• Promote staff development by providing information, workshops and training

• Facilitate linkages with existing and new umbrella groups

• Promote collective action and contribution of the sector to address community issues

• Encourage full participation of the employment sector in the Council 

In order to enhance objectives of community and stakeholder collaboration, accountability and governance, and quality client service delivery, the ESCLM and its members have actively sought a range of partnerships and initiatives to ensure best practices across the sector. ESCLM membership reflects the diversity of its clients and community. Collaborations with government, funding partners, community economic development organizations, other community partners, and with the private sector have had significant positive impacts on the London Region employment sector. 

The ESCLM maintains a sectoral perspective, advocating on behalf of its network of organizations and clients rather than for specific programs or agencies.
